As technology adoption in the TV industry increases, CEOs and CTOs struggle to see eye to eye on the level of AI implementation, initiative and investment within their companies. According to the report, two-thirds of industry CEOs believe their companies are making conscious/strategic decisions to implement automation while just 30% of CTOs think the same.
Both CEOs (73%) and CTOs (67%) agree that the opportunity for competitive products/services, innovation and differentiation is a key driver for the adoption of AI. But business leaders aren’t as likely to see the pay off while 100% of chief engineers list the desire to save costs as a reason for implementing AI.
