Univision’s TUDN Grabs Rights for New Liga de Expansion MX

Univision’s TUDN announced a multi-year agreement to bring soccer fanáticos the action and drama from the Liga de Expansion MX. Featuring 16 total clubs, TUDN will exclusively telecast select matches from Mexican soccer’s second division including remaining contests from the inaugural Guardianes 2020 regular season and playoff rounds. Matches will also be available on TUDN Radio Network.

“Our coverage of Liga de Expansion MX serves as the perfect companion to our already robust portfolio of soccer rights, including Mexico’s top-tier soccer league, Liga MX,” said Juan Carlos Rodriguez, president of Sports, Univision. “This deal strengthens our hold as the premier destination for the best in North American soccer, and spotlights some of the young, up-and-coming players in the sport.”

TUDN’s coverage of the 15-week season resumes in Matchday 2 with three exciting matchups beginning today, August 26, with Venados F.C. vs. Tapatío from Estadio Carlos Iturralde at 8 p.m. ET available on TUDN. TUDN’s Matchday 2 schedule is as follows (all times eastern):
