KMH Expands Operations, Opens Office in Brooklyn’s Industry City

KMH Audio-Video Integration has expanded its operations and local presence with the recent opening of its Brooklyn, N.Y. office. The new location is in the heart of Brooklyn’s Industry City, a creative and commercial hub housing a diverse range of businesses from restaurants to retail shops to technology developers.

KMH has moved to Brooklyn’s Industry City.

KMH, a full-service systems integrator for the professional A/V and production industries, also maintains its original Long Island, N.Y., headquarters, which is primarily used for product testing, repairs and system staging. The new Brooklyn office now gives the growing company easier access to clients in and around New York City.

“Being surrounded by so many other creative professionals is a natural spark for new ideas and different ways of working,” says Kevin Henneman, KMH president. “This new location helps us respond to current clients even faster and positions us perfectly for attracting new business. We’re definitely in the center of the action now.”

Streaming into the Future

Henneman is building on his experience with professional broadcast and A/V production to make the KMH Brooklyn location as technologically relevant as possible. A key part of that is a new streaming media lab currently under construction which will be available for use by KMH clients and by other companies at Industry City.

“The past few months have clearly proven that streaming content and remote production are viable long-term methods for communicating and collaborating,” Henneman said. “A/V is my business, so it makes sense to put the same technologies that I’m installing for world-class organizations to use for my own business and my neighbors here in Industry City.”

The new streaming lab is scheduled for completion this fall.

“KMH is an ideal addition to the ever-expanding technology and content communities within Industry City, and we’re delighted to be home to its new state-of-the-art streaming lab and training center,” says Kathe Kramer Chase, Director of Leasing at Industry City. “As a campus, we’ve adapted so much over the past few months—from ramping up takeout and outdoor dining to increasing our bike and car parking capacities. We know that people have been craving hands-on learning experiences like KMH offers, and we’re excited to safely welcome them at Industry City.”

KMH’s new location is hardly the company’s only recent news. The systems integrator has been busy designing and installing audio/video systems for professional sports teams, broadcast networks and higher education institutions, including the New York Red Bulls, New York Giants, Montclair State University, NBC, HBO, VICE Media and more.

Heading into the busy fall season and with more sports and live events slowly returning from lockdown, KMH has a full workload of upcoming projects across many industries which are scheduled for the coming months and will be announced soon.
