CBS Sports Taps Veteran Producer Pam Miller for New Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) Series

Veteran motorsports producer Pam Miller has joined CBS Sports as Producer of the brand new Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) series. In her role, Miller will lead all production efforts surrounding the new racing series, which starts next summer on Saturday nights in primetime on CBS Television Network and CBS All Access.

“Pam has an incredible passion for motorsports and is well respected throughout the industry,” says Harold Bryant, Executive Producer and Senior Vice President, Production, CBS Sports. “Coupled with her television production skills, she is absolutely the right person to produce the SRX series and will be an excellent addition to the CBS Sports team. She has already suggested innovative ideas for our coverage which will entertain our viewers and create a unique television experience.”

Miller brings a wealth of experience to the production efforts having produced a wide variety of live races, documentaries, and television series. Her vast experience in the production truck includes producing NASCAR for 20 years as well as motorsports genres spanning Formula 1 to the X Games. For eight years, she worked closely with Tony Stewart to bring his iconic charity dirt race “Prelude to the Dream” to audiences on pay-per-view. Her range of experience will be incredibly valuable as SRX races take place on a variety of race tracks.

It’s a great opportunity to break the mold, try elements which might not be possible in other motorsports series, and bring compelling action to racing fans and casual viewers alike.”

Earlier this year, CBS Sports and Superstar Racing Experience (SRX), a property created by The Montag Group, NASCAR Hall of Famers Ray Evernham and Stewart, and investor George Pyne announced a multi-year partnership to produce a six-race, short-track series. The six-race series will feature drivers from a variety of racing backgrounds competing on short-tracks with a total emphasis on head-to-head competition in short, sprint races. SRX has secured driver commitments from some of the sport’s biggest names, including, Stewart, Bill Elliott, Tony Kanaan, Paul Tracy, Bobby Labonte, Willy T. Ribbs, Mark Webber, Ernie Francis Jr. and Helio Castroneves, as well as more drivers to be announced.
