Bitcentral Revamps Corporate Structure With Eye on Growth in 2021

Bitcentral is preparing for a new year with a renewed focus on innovation and continued customer service made possible through a new corporate structure, effective December 2020. Bitcentral will service its solutions through two dedicated teams – one focused on the company’s Core business, which includes Core News and Central Control; and another focused on FUEL, emphasizing the production, cloud streaming and video monetization solution that launched in August 2018.

“Our entire Bitcentral team is encouraged and inspired by the growth potential we see for both our Core business and FUEL, and the time is right for us to crystalize these two distinct functions of Bitcentral’s business while still working toward our goal of creating a portfolio of products and services to streamline and automate end-to-end broadcast-to-digital workflows,” says Greg Mason, President of Bitcentral. “This new structure within our team will enable us to continue building on our long-established foundation created through Core products and elevating FUEL in a fast-paced digital environment, while aligning product and customer deliverables whenever possible. This shift will ultimately put us in a better position to serve the customers we’ve connected with over the years, bring in new business, and innovate for the demands of our industry in the future.”

Bitcentral was founded in 2000, and this shift in company structure to streamline business processes and practices will bolster the development and execution of solutions in 2021 and the years ahead.

Two Bitcentral executives, Sam Peterson and Greg Morrow, have stepped into new roles with the company as a result of this move to emphasize growth potential, with Peterson becoming the General Manager of the Core business and Morrow serving as the General Manager of FUEL.

Peterson joined Bitcentral in October 2017 as the Vice President of Product Management and Marketing. As the General Manager of the Core business, he will direct all activities for Bitcentral’s foundational solutions, Core News and Central Control, including product management, development and quality assurance. Peterson has spent more than three decades refining his skills in core functions relevant to his newly created role, including automation, master control and playout, news production, signal management and live production.

Morrow was hired in October 2019 as the VP of business development, focused primarily on structuring strategic deals, partnerships and alliances for FUEL. In this elevated role, he will continue to identify opportunities and direct all activities related to FUEL’s product development, new ventures and operations. He brings more than two decades of experience with internet media, product innovation and digital operations – all relevant to the future of FUEL.
