Aldea Solutions Names Lionel Bentolila as Executive Group Director of New Division, Daniel Gonzalez as Company CEO

In order to best focus on strategic objectives and take advantage of opportunities in the ever-changing technological landscape, Aldea Solutions have created a new division within the Marcatel Group, named “Corporate Development and New Business”. Lionel Bentolila will head this new division as Executive Group Director. He is the current CEO and original founder of Aldea Solutions, with HQ in Montreal, Canada.

Bentolila possesses a 360-degree vision of the global telecommunications, media, and IT industries. Since founding Aldea in 2000, he led a rapid and strategic expansion of the company’s global network to over 20 countries, delivering services for the television and media industries. In 2008, he was the architect behind the integration of Aldea into the Marcatel Group.

Bentolila obtained his engineering degree from the École Centrale de Paris ECP (France) and subsequently obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from McGill University, in Montreal (Canada).

Moreover, Daniel Gonzalez has been named the new CEO of Aldea Solutions. He is currently Director of Business Development at Aldea.

Gonzalez has over 30 years of experience in telecommunications and information technology. He was also a Computer Science teacher at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Studies (ITESM), from where he received his engineering degree in Electronic Systems, with honorable mention. He later went on to complete an executive management program at the Pan-American Institute of Senior Business Management (IPADE).

These changes will be effective as of January 1, 2021. During the fourth quarter of 2020, Bentolila and Gonzalez will be working toward the transition of responsibilities.
