Adder ALIF4000 Adds Support for HDR10, Touch Controls

Adder Technology has rolled out a range of new features to its multi-award winning ADDERLink INFINITY 4000 series (ALIF4000) including support for HDR10 video standards. The latest updates, available to all new and existing customers, have been developed to meet the growing demand for high resolution content creation.

The latest ALIF4000 updates ensure content can be viewed in the correct color space throughout the entire creative process.

Media and entertainment professionals, such as color correctors and VFX artists, depend on KVM technology to access their highly flexible workflows that deliver bolder colors, brighter lights and deeper shadows. The latest ALIF4000 updates ensure content can be viewed in the correct color space throughout the entire creative process.

When asked about the ALIF4000 series updates, John Stevens, director of engineering, at leading Los-Angeles post-production house, The Foundation, says: “As a business, we have seen significant demand to supply HDR content to our customers. Many of our editors are now working outside of the studio, for example in mobile set-ups or home production, so a flexible workflow that supports the creation of both UHD and HDR10 content is more important than ever. Ever since we installed the ADDERLink INFINITY range, it has continued to be an IT stalwart. It has given us the flexibility to grow our business, and Adder’s continuous innovation has allowed us to adapt our set up to meet our ever-changing technology needs. The fact that we can now benefit from HDR10 support and 10-bit color will help us continue to meet the needs of our customers.”

In addition to HDR10 support, Adder is simplifying usability with the introduction of touch control to the ALIF4000 platform.

For those starting their 5K IP KVM journey, the latest updates mean they can build a small, unmanaged, matrix of up to 16 endpoints. As their system evolves, and greater control is required, a management system and additional endpoints can be seamlessly integrated at a time that suits them.

Anil Chhabra, senior VP engineering, Adder Technology, says Adder, as a leader in KVM innovation, is always looking for ways to keep a competitive edge in the marketplace.

“Our team of highly skilled engineers work closely with our customers to develop solutions that improve their daily workflows,” he says. “The latest feature updates to the ADDERLink INFINITY 4000 series showcase how customer feedback can come together with cutting edge development to produce a series of product features that support so many KVM users around the world.”
