Skyline Communications’ Project Collaboration Drives Agile Partnership

Skyline Communications has launched the Project Collaboration module as part of its DataMiner Cloud Platform. This new cloud module facilitates agile collaboration for distributed DevOps teams and is specifically tailored towards managing deployment and continuous evolution of ICT media and broadband industry ecosystems. It provides a wealth of features for agile distributed squads to intuitively manage all their activities and to track progress as they go along on their quest to deliver maximum value for their business.

“Noteworthy is that Project Collaboration is a fully in-house developed solution, natively integrated in our DataMiner Cloud Platform. It is tailored exactly to the activities and processes involved in the agile build-out and continuous evolution of powerful ICT media and broadband industry platforms,” comments Bert Vandenberghe, CTO at Skyline Communications. “This applies to the entire stack, from the development of new interface connectors on the data ingest and control layer, all the way across automation and orchestration workflows to the UIs for the users. This is essential to ensure that we have a clear path towards not only establishing a powerful agile collaboration for a distributed DevOps team, but also tightly integrating this with the actual technology workflows, and creating a powerful CI/CD experience. That’s a very powerful proposition down the road.”

“What we are witnessing today in the media and broadband industry is much more than just a technology evolution. The essence of it is maximum agility, and this fundamentally redefines pretty much everything that you can think of, including our way of working and collaborating. The latter applies to everything, also to the relationship between Skyline as a technology company and our user base,” comments Ben Vandenberghe, CEO at Skyline Communications. “While we have already fully adopted Agile methodologies within our own organization, we want to further extend that and also embrace our user community. This is not just about applying a partnership mindset, because we already have that with the companies that use our technology. We really want to take it well beyond that.”

Both our earlier announced new open Dojo community and this new Project Collaboration module are all about bringing people together, empowering them to move easily and quickly, and delivering maximum value to the business in a very continuous manner. It really doesn’t matter who is in the squads; the company they belong to is subordinate to the goals of the squad. User stories and use cases need to be managed with maximum agility in order to deliver maximum business value. Project Collaboration is the technology to underpin that and bring the Agile Partnership to life, so that the users of the community can shine in this new era.
