CONCACAF Calls On Mediapro to Commercialize Internatioanal Rights of Main Soccer Competitions

Mediapro and CONCACAF have entered into a partnership to sell international audiovisual rights to their high-profile soccer competitions, including the 2021 Gold Cup and the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League.

“We’re very proud of the trust that CONCACAF has shown in us,” says Tatxo Benet, managing partner, Mediapro. “Mediapro’s experience in managing sports rights will be key in protecting the value of these competitions.”

In order to grow and expand the visibility of their tentpole events, CONCACAF is recruiting Mediapro to market these international rights in areas outside of North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The company was chosen based on their vast experience of distributing these rights at an international level. With this agreement, the soccer organization and Mediapro will be strengthening their longtime relationship.

“This is a very important year for our confederation and we’re really excited to have signed a new international rights agreement with Mediapro,” says Philippe Moggio, general secretary, CONCACAF. “They have a significant global reach and will ensure that the 2021 Gold Cup and other national competitions are available to regional and global fans.”
