Design Firm WJHW Acquired by Australia’s PMY Group

The WJHW brand and leadership remain in place as part of the deal

Independent technology advisory, investment, and delivery company PMY Group has acquired WJHW (Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams), a consulting and design services firm based in Dallas. The WJHW brand remains in place with continued leadership by founding partners Jack Wrightson and Chris Williams, Managing Principals René Garza and Josh Beaudoin and the wider WJHW management team.

After 10 years collaborating across multiple projects and clients around the world, the convergence of PMY and WJHW is the natural progression in creating a fully integrated technology company required to service the future needs of the major venue, infrastructure, and event sector, according to a joint announcement from the two companies. It goes on to say that the aligned values and complementary skill set of both companies provides a ‘turnkey solution’ to suit growing client needs both in the US and around the world.

“We look forward to embracing WJHW’s market-leading expertise driving significant growth in all key markets,” PMY’s Managing Director, Paul Yeomans, says. “Both WJHW and PMY are aligned on the global opportunity for a fully integrated technology company into the future and we are thrilled to partner with the team to bring our vision to life.”

WJHW will continue providing designs and client focused consulting services across a diverse range of project types, including professional sporting arenas and stadia, education facilities, art and entertainment spaces, while being supported by PMY technology and services.

Wrightson, Williams and key members of the WJHW team join PMY as shareholders whilst leading both WJHW and group strategy throughout the US and internationally. “This is a great opportunity for our clients and employees, and we are delighted to be able to share our expertise with a global client base. With PMY, we can now deliver a fully integrated solution and look forward to seeing our proven, leading edge design and consulting services expand worldwide,” says Wrightson.

Williams continued, “This marks an amazing milestone in the WJHW journey, and we are confident that the additional services, expertise and strength of offering that we now have for the US market and our international family are best in class. Our combined strengths will enable us to use design and technology to continue to innovate, transform and create exciting futures for our clients.”

For over 30 years, WJHW has worked with the leading architecture firms and clients in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, NCAA and K12 markets. Recently completed projects include Sofi Stadium (CA), Allegiant Stadium (NV), Chase Centre (CA), Globe Life (TX) and University of Notre Dame (IN). WJHW continues work with these celebrated clients, and many more, as their trusted independent design and technology services partner.

Together with WJHW, PMY has operations in 14 countries with 500 key clients and relationships across major venues, education institutions, public entertainment spaces and major events.

The merger with WJHW continues PMY’s significant growth story over the past six months, witnessing the gain of numerous global clients and integrating UK-based companies C3i Group and Etherlive into its global business. The bolstered offering of WJHW’s expertise further supports PMY’s vision to transform major venues, infrastructure and events through technology.
