SVG SportsTech On Demand: Sencore’s Brandon Baker on the Future of Remote Production, Contribution and Distribution

While the 2021 NAB Show has been moved to October, the spring season will still feature a cavalcade of new product releases and groundbreaking news coming out of the broadcast technology sector. In an effort to keep the video-production community informed, SVG is hosting a series of SportsTech On Demand video interviews throughout April, May, and June with executives from the industry’s top technology vendors.

Sencore is proud to celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2021 and continues to launch new, innovative solutions enabling professional sports content workflows. In this interview, Brandon Baker, Sencore, Strategic Account Manager, discusses Sencore’s expansion of its encoding and decoding platforms,  including low latency solutions for remote production, contribution and distribution of almost any protocol and format.

In addition, Sencore continues to add HEVC, TICO, JPEG2000, JPEG-XS UHD via 2110, SRT, ZiXi, RIST, HLS and RTMP turnaround in highly dense or single channel platforms. Baker also details how one Big Four US broadcaster is currently deploying our DMG 4000 as a media gateway backbone for their new 100G WAN fiber backbone. Some of the biggest sporting events in the world will be flowing through Sencore devices, and providing UHD content to any of their affiliates that request it.
