Aldea Solutions Acquires Majority Holding in TVTel

Aldea Solutions has recently acquired a majority holding in TVTel, a media production and delivery company based in Santiago de Chile.

“In our global expansion plan, we needed one more link in our structure to not only carry content, as we have done with our fiber optic network for several years, but to PRODUCE IT and be able to deliver it to all television stations in the world,” says Gustavo M. de la Garza Ortega, Chairman and Founder of Grupo Marcatel, which includes Aldea and other companies in the industry. “It is a dream come true.”

Founded four years ago by Rodrigo Peralta and Matias Sarasola, TVTel has quickly established itself in the marketplace with its innovative services for the broadcast and media industry. TVTel portfolio of services include production services, transmission services using IP, 4G/5G and satellite technologies as well as centralized/remote production from its operations facility in Santiago. The company operates in Latin America and has also been involved in numerous large international projects for major sports events.

Aldea has worked in the past with TVTel and together with the combined talent of both companies and experience have all the necessary capabilities to become even stronger and provide end-to-end services from content generation to distribution through multiple platforms, including OTT.

The acquisition of TVTel also strengthens Aldea’s market presence in Chile where it operates since 2020 providing transmission services of the national football (soccer) league through its subsidiary Aldea Chile SpA.
