Verizon To Serve as Official 5G, Technology Partner of UBS Arena

UBS Arena is bringing the power of the Verizon 5G network to its venue that will usher in a new era of music, sports, and entertainment experiences.

The multiyear partnership makes Verizon the exclusive 5G and wireless partner to UBS Arena at Belmont Park, the new home of the NHL’s Islanders; as well as Oak View Group’s Climate Pledge Arena, home to the NHL’s latest expansion team the Seattle Kraken, as well as the WNBA’s Storm; and Coachella Valley Arena, home to the future AHL Palm Springs team. Each arena will harness Verizon 5G network technology, as well as the Distributed Antenna System (DAS) and Converged Network Services (CNS) providing voice, data, and Wi-Fi services to enhance the fan experience.

Super charging the fan experience through the utilization of the Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband network, fans in the building can connect to the UBS Arena app and participate in team trivia and other gamification platforms that will be delivered to their phone and on the scoreboard. In addition to providing the bandwidth for the app, the Verizon 5G network will give the arena the ability to create next generation solutions in public safety, access, concessions, and crowd management.

UBS Arena, Climate Pledge Arena, and Coachella Valley Arena are three of the new locations added to the growing list of stadiums and arenas with Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network. Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband is available in parts of more than 70 cities, 11 airports, and 50+ stadiums and arenas. Verizon’s 5G Nationwide is available to more than 230 million people in over 2,700 cities.

Verizon’s customer loyalty rewards program, Verizon Up, will offer members exclusive access at OVG arenas such as VIP entrance access, complimentary food and beverage, and merchandise credit.
