A war correspondent was injured on the job in the Middle East and became the video news story that came complete with press markings on the vehicle, product placement on the news set, an HD aspect ratio for home viewers and giant screens for those in public spaces. Thousands began paying for electronic newscasts in 1893.”

Historian, engineer and “explainer,” Mark Schubin has been writing about and producing media for over 40 years.  His website, SchubinCafe.com, is a compendium of all his writings and many public presentations. He is most noted for his work with the Metropolitan Opera and as program chair of the esteemed HPA Retreat.
