Ed Pittenger Rejoins F&F Productions as VP, Engineering

Industry veteran Ed Pittenger will rejoin F&F Productions as vice president, engineering and will oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department with his primary focus on the technological design and innovative growth of F&F’s signature GTX fleet of 4K & HD mobile units and acting as F&F’s engineering liaison for client projects.

Ed Pittenger will rejoin F&F Productions as vice president, engineering.

“As we move further into the IP world we are finding a greater need for both knowledge and hands on experience as IP technology evolves,” says Marc Orgera, President/General Manager. “Adding Ed to our remarkable engineering team will bolster the company’s current and future technology endeavors, designs, ideas and assist in incorporating these into our mobile units and our clients’ broadcasts prior to and on site.”

Orgera says Pittenger’s past mobile unit experience coupled with his IP design and commissioning knowledge will be a great addition to F&F.

“Adding additional engineers to our staff with IP knowledge is critical for the continued growth of F&F and we look forward to having Ed rejoin the Engineering team at F&F and help guide the company forward,” says Orgera.

Pittenger says he has been fortunate to work in many facets of the broadcast industry, most recently with LAWO as Project Manager on SMPTE 2110 installs & CTG as Director of Engineering where his focus was in the design and commissioning of IP/SMPTE 2110 & 3G HDR control rooms and routing systems across the U.S.

“After working in the IP field, not only on the design and solutions side, but physically installing and commissioning these systems gives me the ability to see things from both an engineer’s view and the ability to communicate with manufactures in troubleshooting all things IP,” he says. “I am very excited to return to F&F, the opportunity brings everything I am passionate about together and allows me to be at the heart of innovation that defines the direction and focus of the brand.”

Prior to Pittenger’s recent position with Lawo he worked with F&F Productions for 12 years serving as EIC on a number of mobile units in their fleet and helped usher F&F into the HD world assisting with the design and build of their first two mobile HD units in 2004, then taking the helm as EIC on GTX-11. He attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk and  Valencia Community College with a specialty focus in TCP/IP technologies.

He will reside in Clearwater, FL.
