Clark Wire and Cable Rolls Out New Category 6a F/UTP Cable

Clark Wire & Cable has announced the addition of a lightweight, miniature Category 6a F/UTP cable. This thin profile, lightweight cable is an enhanced, Shielded Category 6a solution for networking, mobile production truck use, and data applications.

Clark’s CN426C6AS cable supports 10G Ethernet and has a bandwidth of 500 MHz. making it, not only light weight, but able to perform at higher frequencies and with longer link lengths than standard Category6 cabling.

General Manager Ken Bernd described the motivation behind the new product.

“With size and especially weight being such an important factor in the mobile trucking industry, we recognized a need that hasn’t been fulfilled until now,” he says. “We were able to reduce the weight compared to a typical Shielded Cat6a cable by 50% or more, which is always a major concern for our clients.”
