On March 12, the sports broadcasting industry lost one of its most well-liked and -respected individuals in its history. Jack Simmons, who spent nearly five decades at both NBC Sports and FOX Sports, passed away at the age of 71.
Simmons did it all in his legendary career and touched many lives along the way. In addition to his successful run at NBC, Simmons was one of the original hires when FOX Sports launched in 1994. When he retired in 2016, he ended a 20+-year run as SVP, Production Operations.
