The SVG Podcast: One Year of The YES App with YES Network VP, Strategy & Business Development Matt Duarte

One year after launches, how interactive features are driving deeper engagement for the NY-based regional sports network

One year ago, the New York-based regional sports network, YES Network, launches its own app, making live games for the New York Yankees, Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, and NYCFC available to in-market authenticated viewers.

The app features many intriguing features that are all a part of the live game environment, including interactive overlay graphics, the ability to video chat with friends, and, most recently, a free-to-play predictive game.

On this episode of The SVG Podcast, we are joined by Matt Duarte, Vice President, Strategy and Business Development for the YES Network to break down all of the highlights of Year 1 of the Yes App and to share the challenges that needed to be overcame in order to integrate these engaging features on top of the live game stream.

The SVG Podcast is for the sports-video–production professional looking to keep up with the latest in sports-video–production operations and technology. The program features interviews with some of the biggest, most influential names in the sports-video business talking trends and topics that are making an impact on the industry.
