NAB 2022: Next-Gen ATSC 3.0 Broadcasting Takes to the Stage

With next-generation television broadcasts now reaching nearly half the viewing public in the U.S. and recent international expansion of the technology into Jamaica, the future of broadcast and broadband delivery will be among the highlights of the 2022 NAB Show in Las Vegas at the end of this month – powered by groundbreaking technologies developed by Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC.)

“As the broadcasting industry makes plans to meet again at the NAB Show, we’re looking forward with great enthusiasm for the future of ATSC 3.0 – truly an international broadcasting standard that is now on-air in South Korea, Jamaica, and the U.S., with key ingredients of ATSC 3.0 also set for deployment in Brazil. Broadcasters have spent the last two years laying the groundwork for the rapid expansion of ATSC 3.0 signals, which now reach nearly half of all U.S. viewers in almost 60 markets. Consumer TV receivers are now available in dozens of configurations, and we’re excited to see what’s next for accessory receivers and antenna products that will help even more consumers take advantage of next-generation broadcasting,” said ATSC President Madeleine Noland.

ATSC Platinum Sponsors Gaian Solutions, Pearl TV, and Sinclair Broadcast Group will each feature extensive demonstrations in the ATSC booth. Additional displays are planned by ATSC member organizations AWARN, CeWi, Fincons, and Mediathand.

“Guide to ATSC 3.0 at the Show” Now Available

ATSC is offering a free “Guide to ATSC 3.0 at the Show” that details 38 exhibitors who will be featuring ATSC 3.0 technology in their booths, including the expansive ATSC booth itself that will anchor the Future of Delivery Pavilion in the new West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. ATSC’s “Full Steam Ahead” pavilion will be found at W9022 in West Hall.
