SportsBubble’s New WatchSports App Aims to Help Fans Discover and Access Live Sports More Easily

SportsBubble has announced its launch along with the release of its first product, the WatchSports app, a live Sports & Esports Event Guide for the streaming era. Founded by former ABC Sports programming executive and president of Pac-12 Networks Lydia Murphy-Stephans, SportsBubble is an internet-based technology company that provides software, marketing, and services to simplify discovery and access to sports.

“I’m excited to launch SportsBubble with the WatchSports app,” says Murphy-Stephans, SportsBubble’s CEO. “With WatchSports, fans now have a universal source for live event  viewing information at their fingertips. I set out to solve the sports media fragmentation problem  and, in the process, we created a tool that will also help level the playing field for women’s  sports exposure. WatchSports provides information and access equitably across all sports and  viewing platforms which means the search-to-watch for a women’s college soccer game is as  easy and fast as it is for an NFL game.”

With live sports content and media rights scattered across numerous platforms, WatchSports simplifies search by providing a guide with viewing options for all live events in one place. Just open the app, select an event and WatchSports will provide Watch Options in seconds. WatchSports offers trouble-free browsing with an easy-to-use schedule and connect-to-watch  feature. For SportsBubble’s partners, WatchSports offers a fast search-to-watch service to help  increase viewership, and convenient transactions to enable additional monetization  opportunities.

SportsBubble’s early partners include DAZN, Pac-12 Conference and Networks, National  Women’s Soccer League, Ladies Professional Golf Association, Athletes Unlimited, US Speed  Skating and the Premier Hockey Federation. More partners will be announced soon.

WatchSports will soon offer a SportsPassport feature allowing its users to personalize their preferences, set up notifications for game alerts and receive special offers. SportsPassport will enable in-app authentication for direct-connect to event viewing, in-app subscriptions to streaming services, PPV event purchases as well as seamless connections to esports and  sports wagering.

“With DAZN connecting sports fans on any device to the sports they love, we are ecstatic to  team up with SportsBubble on their flagship product, WatchSports,” says Joe Markowski, EVP at DAZN GROUP. “This App is not only a new way for fans to easily find and access live sports,  but will serve as another great partnership for DAZN to continue to grow its subscriber base.  DAZN has always been a huge supporter of women’s sports, and with the focus Lydia and her team have made on equalizing the playing field, we are excited to grow the fan bases of these great athletes.”

The Pac-12 Conference, one of SportsBubble’s early partners, offers fans more than 1500 live events per year through Pac-12 Networks, ESPN, FOX and other streaming platforms. WatchSports lists all of the conferences’ sports events in its live Event Guide to provide fans with real-time information and fast access to Watch Options for every Pac-12 event.

“The Pac-12 is excited to partner with SportsBubble on their new WatchSports app,” says Tracy Cameron, SVP of Content Distribution & Marketing for Pac-12 Networks. “WatchSports’ digital  guide will serve Pac-12 fans across the country, providing increased discovery and connectivity  to live events across our various partners and platforms.”

The company’s advisory board is includes Chris Bevilacqua, Bill Cella, Daniel Cohen, Patrick Crakes, Liz Dolan, Dana Golden, Cathy Griffin, David Hassoun, Ronnie Lott, Barbara Shulman and Suzanne Smith.
