2022 Sports Emmys: ESPN’s Lee Fitting on the Rapid Growth and Industry-Wide Impact of Monday Night Football With Peyton & Eli

The show nicknamed ‘ManningCast’ received the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Live Series

During the 2021 NFL season, ESPN took the concept of the alternative game-viewing experience to the next level when the “ManningCast” took sports media by storm. Now Monday Night Football With Peyton & Eli has been celebrated for its impact by swooping in and grabbing the 2022 Sports Emmy for Outstanding Live Series.

At the Sports Emmys ceremony Tuesday night in New York City, ESPN SVP, Production, Lee Fitting reflected on taking risks with the project, the media prowess of the Manning brothers, and how this style of broadcast is changing live sports.
