Telemundo Deportes Presents First-ever Spanish-language Broadcast of Indy 500

Telemundo Deportes presents the 106th Running of the Indianapolis 500 this Sunday, May 29 at 11 a.m. ET airing live on Universo, TelemundoDeportes.com and Telemundo Deportes app. This will be the first time that “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” will be broadcast on a domestic Spanish-language network.

The Indianapolis 500 will be called by Telemundo Deportes’ team, featuring race-announcing veteran Omar Amador and the network’s race play-by-play voice Sergio Rodriguez. Three-time Indy 500 driver Milka Duno will join the coverage and serve as a special guest analyst. Copan Alvarez will be onsite reporting from historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Sunday’s pre-race coverage begins at 11 a.m. ET followed by race coverage at 12:30 p.m. ET. Coverage will feature interviews with Hispanic drivers and a historical piece on the importance of the Indy 500 and the Hispanic drivers that have won the race as well as the ones competing this season.

Interviews to include Patricio O’Ward from Mexico, Alex Palaou from Spain and two-time Indy 500 winner Juan Pablo Montoya from Colombia. In addition, four-time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves from Brazil, who may become the first five-time winner of the Indy 500.
