SVG PLAY: Collegiate Athletic Department Video Leads Share Tools and Strategies Bolstering Their Live Game Productions in SVG College Summit Panel

Leaders from the University of South Carolina, Elon University, Temple University, Princeton University, and Grabyo offer a look at elements that deliver bang for their buck

The SVG College Summit returned to Atlanta for the first time since 2019 for two days of panels, case studies, workshops, and networking. The collegiate sports-video–production business has been completely reshaped by the stresses of the past two years. This year’s event agenda addressed critical topics facing the business ranging from live-broadcast/streaming strategies; to live-production tools and solutions; cloud-based, REMI, and IP production models; content-distribution strategies; what Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) means for you; staffing/training your production teams; and so much more.

From robotic/unoperated cameras to targeted microphone placement and innovative infrastructures, university athletic departments of all shapes and sizes are finding success in cost-effective technologies to take their live productions to the next level. In this panel discussion from the 2022 SVG College Summit, pros pushing the envelope in new and accessible ways share their learnings and experiences from the trenches of live production.
