The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation website continues to provide podcasts and more designed to help anyone in recovery, and the most recent offering focuses on change. To people in recovery, change is a familiar word. It is often tossed around before the road to recovery and sobriety begins, and it is certainly heard during the recovery journey. Change is so natural, so inevitable that people seldom stop to think about the process. However, sociologists and psychologists have given the matter some attention and have constructed a general blueprint of how people change. What are the six stages of transformation and change?
