Live From Men’s Final Four: UConn’s Jason Reider and David Kaplan on the Value of Preparation in Content Creation

What content is the media team creating around the Huskies' run to Houston?

With three schools at this year’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four making their debuts, the University of Connecticut is the established entity in Houston this week. The Huskies are looking to claim their fifth National Championship in less than a quarter of a century. The last time, UConn was in this position with its men’s squad, however, the media landscape was quite different.

At the 2023 Men’s Final Four in Houston, SVG caught up with the University of Connecticut Athletics’ Director of Creative Content Jason Reider and Assistant Director of Athletics, Video Services David Kaplan to discuss their content strategy, how they prepared for this run, and what advice they would give the media departments here at an event of this magnitude for the first time.
