SVG PLAY: New York City-Area Game Presentation Leaders Discuss Videoboard Shows in the Big Apple
Story Highlights
It’s been a big sports year in the Big Apple with every professional team in the New York City/Tri-State Area making the playoffs except one (sorry Jets fans). This weekend, Madison Square Garden was buzzing nightly with New York Knicks and New York Rangers postseason contests, with the Rangers playing the New Jersey Devils in a First Round Stanley Cup Playoff series that also has the Prudential Center – just across the river in Newark – lit up, as well.
Even with successful teams, though, its a challenging task to compete in the media epicenter that is New York City. How do professional sports teams there put on shows that entertain the masses?
At the 2023 SVG Venue Summit, game presentation leaders from Madison Square Garden, Red Bull Arena, Prudential Center, Citi Field, and MetLife Stadium gave a peek behind the control room door to explain their production philosophies and much more.
