2023 Sports Emmys: Fox Sports’ Zac Fields, Daryl Moore Place XR in the Spotlight With New Studio in Los Angeles

Heading into the 2022-23 NFL on Fox season, the production and operations crew came together to launch a brand-new studio at their headquarters in Los Angeles. The two-story studio not only boasts 5,130 sq. ft. of LED space, but is anchored by extended-realty (XR) multicam technology with the help of Unreal Engine, Vizrt, and Stype. The project caught the attention of the industry and was awarded with the prestigious George Wensel Technical Achievement Award at the 2023 Sports Emmys.

At the ceremony, Fox Sports’ SVP, Graphic Technology and Integration, Zac Fields, and VP, Systems Engineering, Daryl Moore, break down how this perfect blend of technologies has become the new home of the network’s marquee studio shows and how this set is the latest addition of Fox Sports’ long-standing history of innovation.

Those credited on the project included:

Innovators
Stype Cajic, Zac Fields, Hanna Frangiyyeh, Amir Keren, Joshua McVey, Daryl Moore, Alex Seflinger, Ronny Van Den Bergh, Borna Vukorepa
