Broadcast Asia 2023: TAG Video Systems Prioritizes Automation, Control, Visibility

TAG Video Systems has announced an enhanced level of integration with Skyline Communications’ Dataminer at Broadcast Asia 2023 that increases end-to-end visibility, automation and control.

TAG will also show an enriched version of its Media Control System (MCS) that brings media companies and content owners sharper, more targeted application-specific monitoring and greater insight into signal health and integrity. Visitors can see demonstrations of the MCS’s capabilities on Stand 6C1-01 (Magna).

TAG’s MCS serves as a data aggregation engine, system manager and orchestrator that allows media companies and content owners to track signals and use an open-source paradigm to maximize analysis of their own data and adjust operations for optimal growth. The transformational MCS has now been enriched with new technologies and integrations that significantly expand the monitoring and visualization system’s role while minimizing complexity, keeping users ahead of the technology curve, and positioning businesses for growth.

The existing technology partnership between TAG and Skyline Communications has hit a milestone with the addition of support for the MCS seamlessly incorporated into Dataminer’s media management platform. The tightly integrated solution allows TAG to become part of the entire workflow managed by Dataminer, adding a robust element of automation, control and orchestration to the MCS’s capabilities. The integration provides visual access to data aggregated by Dataminer and by the MCS and displayed on TAG’s multiviewer output allowing operators to have full control and visibility into their production and distribution workflows and enabling a more complete view of the system and the data needed to keep it running smoothly as business and services evolve.

Also on the Magna stand, visitors will see demonstrations of the MCS leveraging TAG Bridge Technology. This process allows a stream to be ingested once and delivered to multiple locations in any size or format. It is a valuable enhancement for multi-studio live production applications such as news and sports.

Attendees will also get a sneak peek at TAG’s Content Matching – its latest product technology preview and winner of a Best of Show award at NAB 2023- that ensures error-free content is delivered in realtime to its intended target. Integrated into TAG’s MCS, Content Matching will bring users sharper, more targeted application-specific monitoring, helping them identify potential issues and confirm signal integrity for increased confidence and a high-quality viewer experience.
