OneSoccer to Air Live and Exclusive Coverage of Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team Olympic Qualifiers Against Jamaica
Story Highlights
OneSoccer, the dedicated soccer channel operated by MEDIAPRO Canada, will show live and exclusive coverage of the upcoming Concacaf W Olympic Play-In matches between Canada Soccer’s Women’s National Team and Jamaica.
Fans across Canada will be abe to watch the two-legged qualifying series on OneSoccer, available as a linear channel on Telus Optik TV (Channel 980), on the fuboTV Canada service and online at OneSoccer.ca and through the OneSoccer app.
Live coverage of the away match, to be played at the Jamaica National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica on Friday September 22nd, will air on OneSoccer at 8pm ET/5pm PT, while the second leg, to be played at Toronto’s BMO Field on Tuesday September 26th, will kick off at 7pm ET / 4pm PT.
OneSoccer will provide extensive pre- and post-match and half-time programming of the home match in Toronto in addition to live game action. The pre-match show, hosted by multiple award-winning broadcaster Andi Petrillo, commences at 6.30pm ET / 3.30pm PT; Andi will be joined by former CanWNT U17 and U20 player Jessica Lisi and OneSoccer analyst Jordan Wilson at the onsite studio at BMO Field, while OneSoccer’s Oliver Platt and former CanWNT star Carmelina Moscato will report from the pitch. Adam Jenkins and Eva Havaris will provide English-language commentary and Matt Cullen will call the game in French.
The match, which will be played in front of a capacity crowd after Canada Soccer announced last week that all tickets had sold out, represents a critical step in the CanWNT’s qualification for both next summer’s 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and the inaugural W Gold Cup, the premier competition for women’s senior national teams in the Concacaf (North and Central America and the Caribbean) region, to be held in the US in March 2024. CanWNT are the reigning Olympic Champions after securing the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in August 2021.
MEDIAPRO Canada will produce live coverage of the match with a 40-strong crew working across nine cameras through one of the company’s fleet of HD mobile units.
