Story Highlights
Sportel 2024 always offers a number of new-deal announcements, and a pact between International Sports Broadcasting and the 2025 Chengdu World Games Executive Committee gives ISB oversight of the public-signal production and main broadcast.
Topping the list of requirements is that the 2025 Games will be produced in 4K as well as HD and that ISB will carry out full-coverage signal production for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and 35 major competition events. It will also combine the latest broadcasting-technology innovations to explore the use of social production, AI production, remote production, etc. in the overall public-signal production to meet the broadcasting needs of domestic and foreign media on large-screen televisions and new internet media and to promote widespread dissemination of the Olympic spirit and culture.
Founded in 1996, ISB focuses on the main broadcast of the world’s top events to meet the broadcasting needs of rightsholders. ISB produces both multiple-sport and single-sport events and has provided broadcasting services to multiple organizing committees and international rightsholders for the 2000 Sydney Olympics, 2004 Athens Olympics, 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2012 London Olympics, and multiple Winter Olympics, Paralympics, and world championships.
For the 2025 Chengdu World Games, ISB will also organize a high-level professional signal-production team to provide high-quality and innovative broadcasting services.
