On Thursday, the 4th annual ESPN Edge Innovation Conference will take place in New York City and showcase some of the network’s latest work in innovation, technology, and storytelling.
ESPN has spent more than 45 years embracing groundbreaking technological innovations to better serve sports fans. The ESPN Edge Innovation Center was launched in 2021 with the mission of setting the standard in bringing sport media innovation to market through best-in-class partnerships.
In this exclusive interview, we sit down with Kevin Lopes, VP, Sports Business Development & Innovation at ESPN and Zack Malet, Senior Director, Sports Business Development & Innovation at ESPN to preview what’s to come at the event in the world of extended reality (XR), immersive fan experiences, and the exciting things that ESPN Edge is working on.
