An Esports Production Palace: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Riot Games’ Seattle-based Remote Broadcast Center
Riot Games' Allyson Gormley offers an in-depth look at the esports brand's new remote production facility in the U.S.
Story Highlights
One of the more significant broadcast facility openings in the United States of late occurred just south of Seattle last year where the esports giant Riot Games opened its second Remote Broadcast Center.
Powered by AWS, the 70,000-square foot production space joins Riot’s first RBC in Dublin to offer an efficient new approach to live global production where broadcast feeds from live esports competitions happening around the world can be sent to the RBCs where content is produced, broadcast, and distributed in multiple languages to esports fans.
In this special presentation, Allyson Gormley, Global Operations Director, Esports Broadcast & Production at the Remote Broadcast Center powered by AWS for Riot Games offers a behind-the-scenes look at Seattle and discusses how the RBC model prepares its esports-production team for the future.
