EMG/Gravity Media USA has appointed Carston Bell specialist systems manager. With more than 25 years of experience in the television and film industry, he is a recognized expert in RF-transmission technology and specialty-camera solutions. His role will be pivotal in introducing EMG/Gravity Media’s globally recognized specialty-camera technologies to the U.S. market, driving innovation and collaboration across the corporation’s group entities, including Connectivity and ACS.

Carston Bell will oversee development, deployment, and management of specialty camera and RF projects for EMG/Gravity Media USA.

As specialist systems manager, Bell will oversee development, deployment, and management of specialty camera and RF projects. His expertise will support the seamless integration of cutting-edge broadcast solutions, particularly in high-profile live sports, entertainment, and aerospace productions.

Bell’s journey into broadcast technology began with a NASA-inspired childhood and has spanned decades of creative and technical contributions. Having freelanced with EMG Connectivity USA in recent years, he has developed a strong connection with the company and its leadership team. His relationship with Spencer dates back more than a decade, helping solidify his integration into the team.
Bell has extensive experience in aerial cinematography, RF technology, and specialty cameras for live events, documentaries, and aerospace productions. He holds a pilot’s license and possesses in-depth knowledge of aviation and aerospace.
With deep expertise in RF technology, specialty cameras, and wireless solutions, including pylons for football and in-car cameras, Bell has played a pivotal role in and delivered major contributions for Red Bull’s Stratos skydive, Luke Aikens’ “Heaven Sent” freefall, and remote camera operations for the Super Bowl, as well as for NASA and SpaceX aerospace tests. He has also earned multiple Emmy Awards and a Primetime Emmy nomination.
