Story Highlights
In today’s fractured media and entertainment environment, one fact remains truer than ever: live is king!
It’s not just major sporting events, such as the Super Bowl, the Olympics, or the World Cup, that can captivate audiences and establish themselves as must-watch events. It’s also awards shows like the Academy Awards and the Grammys, and even live concerts and comedy shows. In today’s stream on-demand economy, live is enjoying a renaissance.
That’s why you need to join us on Nov. 12 in Los Angeles at SVG LIVE!, our new sports and entertainment production summit that will showcase industry leaders from across the globe discussing strategies, workflows, and technologies used to produce top flight live broadcasts. Whether it’s the Super Bowl Halftime Show, WWE Wrestleman, or massive concert events like Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour or Beyoncé Bowl, the lineup of speakers for this event have worked behind-the-scenes on the biggest cultural moments of the past year.
Held at the Luxe Sunset Blvd Hotel in L.A., the brand new SVG event will cover a variety of live-production-focused topics including award ceremonies, halftime performances, pre/post-game show, red carpet arrivals, and more. In addition to hearing unique perspectives from front-bench and creative leaders, learn about the latest technological developments in live-production workflows, cine-broadcast cameras/lenses, cloud and REMI, XR and virtual production, and much more.
The day will be headlined by a keynote conversation with industry icon Jim Bell. As senior vice president of media for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, he leads the effort to bring the world’s biggest event to life for a global audience. A 24-time Emmy Award winner, Bell has spent his career at the intersection of sports, news, and entertainment—trusted with some of the most iconic brands in media, including NBC Olympics, the FIFA World Cup, “The Today Show,” and “The Tonight Show.” He is the only person to have ever run both “Today” and “Tonight,” and his credits include the London and Rio Olympics—respectively the most-watched and most-profitable Games in U.S. TV history.
