Dolby Summit Explores How Immersive Audio, HDR Are Changing How Entertainment Content Is Created, Delivered, and Enjoyed

Experience the first online event delivered in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos

On October 29, Dolby will host Dolby Summit, a live online gathering of the content distribution, media, and entertainment industries. This event will be the first real-time, digital conference experience enabled with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

This year, bringing people together for shared experiences has taken on a sense of urgency. Content creators around the world are looking for ways to help people feel a deeper connection to the stories, shows, and sports they love. This event will be a window into some of the tools that these creators are using to create and deliver this content.

Gain key insights into ecosystem momentum from a curated group of industry innovators and creators, who will discuss their work and answer questions about how the industry is delivering exciting content experiences while overcoming the challenges of 2020. Dolby Summit will feature discussions about how they are creating video and audio content that is delighting audiences over a wide range of film, TV, music, and live sports genres.

A key component of Dolby Summit will be the opportunity to learn how the industry is elevating live broadcast experiences and what this means for the future of sports entertainment. The event will include interviews with Mike Davies of Fox Sports and Dave Mazza of NBC Sports about how they have invested in HDR and immersive audio for many of their productions and how COVID-19 is accelerating the adoption of these and other new technologies and workflows.

The event will also feature a conversation with Kevin McCue of Sky Sports, who will discuss how his team created a “virtual crowd” workflow, done in partnership with EA Games, to compensate for the lack of crowds in football stadiums. Hear about how this solution has been truly successful and how Sky Sports was able to deliver 100 games in 40 days with an immersive virtual crowd experience.

The world of entertainment is changing, and Dolby hopes you can join to learn about some of the powerful new tools being developed to enable you to create and deliver better content.
