IBC 2017: Mobile Viewpoint to demonstrate IP-based remote production capabilities

Mobile Viewpoint, the leading IP contribution solutions company, will be demonstrating how its innovative product range provides solutions to current broadcast industry issues at this year’s IBC show.

Mobile Viewpoint will be on-hand to show attendees how its range of software and hardware equipment has helped customers including BBC, RAI, Sky Sports News, Euromedia Group and ORF to continue thriving in the ever-changing broadcast environment. Its innovative, online-friendly solutions are designed for forward-thinking broadcasters looking to adapt their strategies as the number of people consuming online content continues to rise.

Products on display will include the Mobile Viewpoint Multicam portfolio, which includes the WMT Multicam bonded transmitter and the WMT AirLink H.265-enabled encoder, and the QuaddroLink, a low-cost and low-weight solution for live-streaming which also supports interlaced video. There will also be the opportunity to see the Mobile ViewpointLinkMatrix in action, a web-based platform that allows users to manage and control all their live feeds.

“With more pressure on broadcasters than ever in terms of both workload and cost, they need to be able to make important production decisions on-the-fly while the content is being captured, and they want to be able to transmit those signals over fast and resilient IP contribution networks,” says Michel Bais, CEO, Mobile Viewpoint.

“Mobile Viewpoint can enable all of this and more. We enable a remote controlled production workflow thanks to our range of encoders, decoders and the LinkMatrix management platform that is optimised for both online and offline video. This solution then allows content to be transmitted to linear broadcast channels, online and social media platforms simultaneously, all in 4K quality.  We’ll be showing attendees first-hand how this is all done at IBC 2017.”

Mobile Viewpoint will also be using this year’s show to unveil an exciting new product that is set to mark a huge step forward in the company’s evolution.

“Although we won’t be announcing any further details until IBC itself, this is a product that we are extremely excited about, and I think IBC attendees will be too,” says Bais.

You can find Mobile Viewpoint in Hall 14, booth F21 at IBC 2017, which takes place from 15-19 September, 2017.
