NAB 2018: Wazee Digital To Host Q&A With Viacom SVP Phil Lalonde

In recognition of one of its newest partnerships, Wazee Digital Chairman and CEO Harris Morris will host Phil Lalonde, senior vice president of ad sales operations at Viacom Media Networks for a private, casual Q&A session and cocktail reception during NAB 2018.

Viacom Media Networks is the largest portfolio of ad-supported cable networks in the United States, in terms of audience share. It is also among the most vibrant, diverse, and culturally relevant collections of brands in media and entertainment.

Both dynamic speakers and recognized experts in technology and M&E, Morris and Lalonde bring diverse experiences across digital asset management, broadcast, and advertisement. During the interactive conversation, they will share insights, stories, and laughs.

Escape the show floor, enjoy some cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres, and hear from the experts on what’s shaping the M&E asset management landscape for brand and content powerhouses. For example, in order to continue complying with the Federal Communications Commission’s Children’s Television Act of 1990, Viacom must identify the talent used in any advertisements selected to run during KidVid Educational Programs.

During their discussion, Morris and Lalonde will explain how the Wazee Digital-Viacom partnership will leverage automated facial recognition, speech to text, and enriched metadata within Wazee Digital Core to identify the talent and provide data back to Viacom. The solution ensures that the ads do not contain talent that is also in the concurrent program.

The Q&A will take place on April 9 at Wazee Digital’s Salon Suite at the Encore from 5:30-7:30 p.m. To RSVP, send in an email to [email protected]. Space is limited in the suite, so please respond early.
