NAB 2022: Brainstorm Releases Edison PRO 5
Brainstorm, leading manufacturer of real-time 3D graphics and virtual studio solutions, will showcase Edison PRO 5 at NAB (booth N2608), the company’s cost-effective and easy-to-use application for producing live, immersive VR/AR presentations and events. With the new features resulting from Brainstorm’s user base suggestions, Edison PRO now transcends the presentation realm to become a fully powered, yet affordable, studio-in-a-box system.
Edison PRO 5 features a new chroma key with additional options, including a difference key and built-in presets that facilitate an automatic, single-click keying to start with.
Edison PRO now includes a wide range of new features aimed to simplify live presentations and events production, bringing in new possibilities for content creation. New features include workflow and IO enhancements, new virtual lights and a totally re-designed chroma keyer that vastly improves the integration of the actors in the virtual environment. On top of that, Edison PRO includes new NDI-oriented features that improve the non-SDI workflows in which the product is perfectly suited, including the ability to integrate with remote conferencing applications such as Teams or Zoom to make remote events even more interactive, allowing for attendees to show up in the scene, for instance.
The new Edison QuickStart mode allows for creating a presentation in seconds, and the new Actor Fill feature allows for easily grading the actor’s feed, by using a simple interface, to easily match the actor’s colour temperature with that of the scene they are in, or with the selected background. Edison is also compatible with NVIDIA Broadcast so it can take advantage of its features of virtual webcam, effects, audio, etc.
Since its presentation, Edison PRO has benefit from a vast catalogue of free, pre-defined scenes and templates plus dozens of assets to complement the presentation abilities of the product. Now, with the introduction of the Edison Creators Program, Brainstorm opens the door for users to benefit from the huge community of Unreal Engine designers creating scenes, backgrounds and assets for Unreal, which can be further developed and become Edison-ready and take advantage of the product’s features.
