NAB 2023: G&D North America Inc. Brings KVM Highlights to Las Vegas

G&D is presenting their portfolio of KVM solutions for the Broadcast Industry at NAB show in Las Vegas, Apr. 16 – 19, 2023 at booth N1967 and will be offering their KVM expertise to consult customer and partner on individual projects.

KVM systems are deeply rooted in the broadcast and media industry and offer optimized workflows, latency-free access to remote systems and the ability to integrate virtual sources and enable remote access.

G&D presents new technologies

NAB show will be celebrating ‘100 Years of Innovation’, and offers a large area for the newest trends and innovations for broadcast enthusiasts. At NAB 2023, the American subsidiary G&D North America Inc. will not only be presenting KVM solutions for broadcast, but revolutionary concepts for the entire media and entertainment industry, providing answers to current challenges in the market. Visitors can learn about the newest trends on the large exhibition floor and meet with the KVM team.

The best of multiviewing and KVM: PersonalWorkplace-Controller

The new multiviewing tool combines flexibility and usability. It enables broadcast professionals to display multiple video signals on just one large monitor or multiple displays and therefore individually designing their workplaces. Where previously a separate monitor was required for each process, the PersonalWorkplace-Controller now allows multiple video signals to be displayed on just one larger monitor or multiple displays. In addition to getting a clearly arranged overview of all processes on just one monitor, users can simultaneously and flexibly access all the data they need. Providing latency-free operation of multiple computers from a single console facilitates everyday work whereas high image quality as well as unlimited flexibility in arranging the sources provides added value.

VisionXS – small housing and big performance

G&D’s product series VisionXS offers large range of functions and comes in a small and space-saving design. The high-end product line of matrix compatible extenders is expanded by new variants, so that for each application the suitable product can be used and every need can be covered. In addition to the already available DP-UHR variants for resolutions up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz, the product range is now complemented by the new DP-HR variants for resolutions up to 2560 × 1600 at 60 Hz. For this series, the manufacturer also relies on its proven, lossless bluedec compression, which enables authentic, pixel-perfect video experiences.

A new addition to the portfolio is the VisionXS extender with two display port connectors for dual-head applications. This makes it possible to operate two monitors at the same time while saving cabling effort and additional hardware by using only one transmission port. On the user side, the new option ensures better ergonomics and greater flexibility at workstations.

The VisionXS-IP portfolio continues to grow, with new variants supporting Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). The new feature makes it possible to supply power to the device using the transmission port. In this way, the extender can be secured twice against failures: The device is connected via both the main power supply and the network cable, providing redundancy in case one power supply fails. This guarantees maximum operational safety and reliability during continuous operation.

Like all other G&D products, the new devices are fully compatible with existing models. The extensive combinability of the KVM systems ensures solutions that are suitable for all applications.
