NAB 2023: TAG to Introduce Enhancements to Realtime Media Performance Platform at NAB that Provide Greater Insight to Signal Health and Integrity

TAG Video Systems announces plans to introduce dashboard visualizations at NAB 2023. The new functionality, integrated into TAG’s Media Control System (MCS), will bring sharper, more targeted application-specific monitoring to users. In addition, visitors to TAG’s Booth will see its depth of support for cloud-based workflows demonstrated in applications ranging from live production through distribution via real-life examples, including live remote production. TAG will also be highlighting the power of its new partnership with Nevion and the benefits of integration with VideoIPath and Virtuoso toolsets. Catch it all in Booth W1542 in the new West Hall of the LVCC throughout the entire show.

Dashboard Visualizations
Users will now have the ability to further optimize and customize their TAG monitoring experience and create custom dashboards and visualizations to suit their exact requirements. Using TAG’s MultiChannel Monitoring (MCM) system’s deep probing and analysis capabilities combined with the MCS data aggregation and management toolset, dashboard visualizations can be easily built with well-known open toolsets, such as ELK and Grafana, to address any specific area of focus. Representative visualizations for various workflows and applications will be on display at NAB highlighting the depth and flexibility of displays enabled by the MCS, including application-specific functions such as MPEG-TS and OTT delivery, audio analysis, SCTE Triggers and Nielsen monitoring.

Partnership with Nevion (a Sony company) and Integration of VideoIPath and Virtuoso
Also at the Booth, TAG will be highlighting its partnership with Nevion and integration with VideoIPath and Virtuoso toolsets. The industry-leading VideoIPath system orchestration and management platform combined with TAG’s rich and deep visualization and monitoring brings a solid foundation for building high-reliability and availability systems. Users benefit from the flexibility and control of the Nevion ecosystem combined with the pristine control room monitor wall experience of TAG’s MCM, backed by the operational confidence of the underlying TAG monitoring and notification safety net developed for today’s complex multi-point workflows. Combined with the robust signal processing and management of the Virtuoso platform, multi-format systems employing different signal and source types can easily be deployed, managed, and monitored, facilitating the agility and robustness required in critical live environments.

Content Matching
NAB delegates will also get a sneak peek at TAG’s new Content Matching technology that allows advanced video quality applications to ensure the content is delivered in real time without any errors or discrepancies. This emerging technology helps identify potential issues and confirms signal integrity leading to increased broadcaster confidence and a high-quality viewer experience.

Cloud-Based Workflows
To emphasize the extent of its cloud capabilities, TAG will be demonstrating cloud-based workflows for applications ranging from live production through distribution. Visitors will see first-hand how Zer0 Friction®, TAG’s flexible deployment model, optimizes and simplifies operations via the rich feature sets incorporated into the MCM and MCS, and maximizes licensing options. Production examples will include hybrid ground/cloud topologies for full live remote as well as remote contribution/integration on a global scale utilizing the full range of available transports and codecs, and distribution through playout to legacy and OTT delivery platforms.

Limitless Possibilities
Utilizing the power of the MCM monitoring managed by its MCS, TAG will demonstrate deployment of applications across the entire media workflow without limitations of geography or technology. Leveraging the full range of supported formats, the MCM’s flexible ground / cloud / hybrid model enables systems of any scale to be constructed and orchestrated in concert with other best-of-breed production, playout and delivery tools to create rich and deep monitoring confidence and operational integrity. Combined with MCS’ data management, analysis and visualization capabilities, TAG will demonstrate rich live production multiview visualization capability with deep monitoring of the underlying system, mixed multiviewing and data visualization for high-density operations and deep monitoring with on-demand live visualization and dashboard-summarized data, all with rich probing and user-threshold-based alarming and notification.

“TAG is committed to providing our users with the best possible solutions so they can deliver a pristine entertainment experience to their viewers.” says Kevin Joyce, TAG’s Zer0 Friction Officer. “NAB is the perfect event to introduce new features and functionalities such as our dashboard visualizations and Content Matching, combined with our ever-expanding cloud-based capabilities. We’re thrilled to bring these to the show and conduct real life demonstrations illustrating how users can use these tools to easily increase operational integrity and productivity.”
