SVG SportsTech On Demand: Dell Technologies' Thomas Burns on How Sports-Media Clients Are Using Lockdown to Refine Workflows

In an effort to keep the broadcast-technology community informed this spring, throughout April, SVG is hosting a series of SportsTech On Demand video interviews with executives from the industry’s top technology vendors discussing their latest product releases and company news. Our Jason Dachman sat down with Thomas Burns, CTO, media and entertainment, Dell Technologies, about the company’s efforts.

Creative services teams in collegiate and professional sports production output an increasing number of deliverables per event. Together with the data wrangling required in a hybrid on-prem / multi-cloud environment, an automated approach is required. Enterprise IT tools such as Ansible and orchestration suites such as Kubernetes are becoming common in video production workflows. Thomas Burns, CTO, M&E, Dell Technologies takes us though some of these workflows and datacenter toolsets, as well as the company’s latest hardware and software enhancements.
