SVG SportsTech On Demand: Marshall Electronics' Tod Musgrave on How IP Cameras Play a Key Role in At-Home Production

In an effort to keep the broadcast-technology community informed this spring, throughout April, SVG is hosting a series of SportsTech On Demand video interviews with executives from the industry’s top technology vendors discussing their latest product releases and company news. Our Jason Dachman sat down with Tod Musgrave, director of cameras, Marshall Electronics, about the company’s efforts.

As the industry prepares for the opening of sports productions, organizations are beginning to discuss the new normal of how to safely deploy these events. In order to practice safe social distancing both in the truck and in the studio, there will likely continue to be various remote streaming feeds and an increased amount of remote controlled cameras. Marshall recently introduced a range of IP cameras – the CV630-IP, CV420-30X-IP and CV355-30X-IP – that are not only useful for the current at-home landscape, but can also be easily integrated into traditional IP-based workflows as venues replace SDI. Providing a range of resolutions from 4K, UHD, and HD, there is a model that fits every specific project need with multiple simultaneous outputs.
