SVG SportsTech On Demand: SHOTOVER's Brad Hurndell Describes the Versatility of the B1 Aerial Camera System

In an effort to keep the broadcast-technology community informed this spring, throughout April, SVG is hosting a series of SportsTech On Demand video interviews with executives from the industry’s top technology vendors discussing their latest product releases and company news. Our Ken Kerschbaumer sat down with Brad Hurndell, CEO, SHOTOVER, about the company’s efforts.

In 2019, SHOTOVER Camera Systems celebrated its tenth anniversary with the launch of its latest system, the ultra-compact, and lightweight, SHOTOVER B1. The company debuted the 6-axis gyro-stabilized camera system at last year’s NAB Show, by mounting it to the front of a small two-seat helicopter called the Guimbal Cabri G2.

In this interview, Hurndell highlights how the B1, designed to meet the needs of a wide range of markets, including production, live broadcast, industrial survey, and surveillance, is a compact and agile aerial camera system that has been utilized on a variety of small and low-cost aircraft, including Robinson helicopters, to provide operators with a cost-effective method for capturing ultra-high definition aerial footage. The system can also be mounted on ground-based platforms and watercraft.
