Super Bowl LII: NBC Sports Boston To Provide 70+ Plus Hours of Live On-Site Coverage

The New England Patriots will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII and NBC Sports Boston will be there in full-force with more than 70-hours of live Super Bowl related coverage originating from on-site in Minneapolis — providing the most comprehensive multi-platform coverage of the Super Bowl in the network’s history. On-site coverage from Minneapolis begins Sunday, January 28th and will continue through Super Bowl Sunday.

On-air talent covering the events from Minneapolis for NBC Sports Boston include Troy Brown, Michael Felger, Tom Curran, Charlie Weis, Jerod Mayo, Mike Giardi, Phil Perry, Gary Tanguay, Trenni Kusnierek, Michael Holley, Kayce Smith, Tom Giles and several other special guests who will bring viewers all the action and perspectives from Minneapolis as the Patriots prepare to take on the Eagles.

All of NBC Sports Boston’s weekly opinion shows will originate from on-site in Minneapolis, including: Sports Sunday presented by Comcast Business, Arbella Early Edition, Boston Sports Tonight presented by Town Fair Tire, and daily radio simulcasts of 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Toucher & Rich and Felger & Mazz. NBC Sports Boston’s dedicated Patriots-related programs will also originate from Minneapolis and air at 6PM/ET throughout the week, includingMonday Night Patriots presented by DCU; New England Tailgate presented by Town Fair Tire; Patriots Wednesday presented by Nissan; Quick Slants presented by Papa Gino’s; Football Fix presented by Lahey Health; and Football Day in New England presented by New England Acura Dealers which includes Pregame Live presented by Ace Ticket and Postgame Live presented by Twin River Casino.

NBC Sports Boston will also air a special 30-minute film on Friday, February 2nd at 11PM/ET entitled “The Belichick Legacy.” The film features Belichick telling the story about his late father and former Naval Academy Coach Steve Belichick and shows the lasting impact he has had on Bill and his career. NBC Sports Boston will also air a one-hour Super Bowl special from a set right outside the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Saturday at 7PM/ET.

NBC Sports Boston’s week of comprehensive programming originating from Minneapolis will all lead up to the network’s gameday coverage — Football Day in New England — which includes a 3-hour pregame show beginning at 3PM. The show will include the latest news, updates and insight from NBC Sports Boston talent and guests, and for the last hour of the show, will include a rotating roster of NBC Sports Philadelphia on-air talent with their insight as well. Immediately following the game, NBC Sports Boston will aira 2.5 hour postgame show breaking down all the action. Gameday coverage will originate from a state-of-the-art set in the heart of the action at U.S. Bank Stadium.

NBCSportsBoston.com will keep fans engaged online with up-to-the-minute news, daily video updates, on demand content and preview highlights. Additionally, NBCSportsBoston.com will continue to feature both the live “Quick Slants” podcasts with Curran, Perry and Mayo, as well as the “Ex-Pats Podcast” with Giardi and Dan Koppen. All of the network’s social media channels (@NBCSBoston) will offer fans in-depth access, exclusive content, and real-time information throughout the week across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.
