Live From Super Bowl LIV: Fox Sports’ Mike Davies Goes Deep on an Epic Technological Effort

UHD/HDR, 8K cameras, aerial angles, and other enhancements give tech heads something to watch for on Sunday

The Super Bowl is one of those events that annually raise the bar for what is possible (and, in the future, expected) in a live sports production. And Fox Sports has brought an ambitious operation to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.

Mike Davies, SVP, technical and field operations, Fox Sports, takes you inside the compound and the stadium to highlight some of the major technological developments in place for this year’s Big Game. From the first Super Bowl in UHD/HDR to four 8K cameras contributing to the show, and an impressive array of aerial cable cameras, Super Bowl LIV promises to be a feast for the eyes.
