Live From Tokyo Olympics: Canon On Site for Lens, Camera Support

Canon is on-site and providing local support to NBC and the broadcast of 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo as staff from the U.S., Canada, and North American territories will not be on-site in Tokyo, and will continue to work behind-the-scenes to support our customers. On-site Canon support staff in Tokyo will have access to Olympic venues and TV compounds as well as the Main Press Center (MPC), International Broadcast Center (IBC) to support and fulfill customer needs during the Games.

Canon says multi-lingual support staff are on-site in Tokyo to help ensure streamlined communication with customers and deliver the support and service our customers have come to expect and enjoy. In addition to on-site staff, Canon will be leveraging its facilities in Tokyo through Canon Marketing Japan to accommodate the volume of anticipated service needs for all those traveling to Tokyo to support the Games.

For all International customers requiring support while in Tokyo during the Olympic Games, Canon says to please contact your local Canon representative to be connected directly to the local support team in Tokyo. For photojournalism customers requiring service, Canon Professional Services (CPS) will be on-site in the MPC providing support.
