NeuLion Case Study: Using Digital to Maximize Venue Revenue
For the first time, media rights are projected to surpass gate revenues and become the industry’s largest segment by 2018.  Because of this, arenas and content rightsholders are looking for new ways to increase live-event revenue. NeuLion partnered with Barclays Center in Brooklyn to deliver “digital tickets,” giving fans access to event content without actually being at the arena. Now, arenas can “oversell” seats and grow their live event revenue. In conjunction with digital tickets, higher-quality video can be monetized by rightsholders, offering it to fans at a premium.
