Over the past five years, no technological trend has had as major an impact on live sports production as at-home production. Many national broadcasters are deploying less crew and resources onsite and running the production from a control room back home at the broadcast center. However, the trend has yet to catch on in a big way within the RSN market. Nonetheless, at-home is expected to dramatically impact the way RSNs create content and produce games – especially for lower-tier properties – in the coming years. Learn how the at-home phenomenon and the shift to virtualization could transform RSN production and what to expect in the near future.
