Presented by: Robert Erickson, Grass Valley, Strategic Account Manager, Sports and Venues

2:15 – 2:45 p.m.: Keynote Conversation: How IP Powers the Fox Sports Vault
IP technologies continue to transform the nature of remote production workflows and the Fox Sports “Vault” is the latest example. Fox Sports took a space in its Pico facility, that previously was a tape library, and has transformed it into a work area where nearly 30 production personnel can complete replay, graphics, and other functions for productions taking place hundreds and even thousands of miles away.
Moderator: Ken Kerschbaumer
, SVG, Executive Director, Editorial
Keynote: Kevin Callahan
, Fox Sports, VP, Field Operations and Engineering

2:45 – 3:05 p.m.: Imagine Communications Case Study: Live Production with COTS IP
Sports Stadiums, Arenas and Sports Networks are moving to IP and before you make your move – join Cassidy Phillips and his guest Ryan Morris as they provide an introduction to the do’s and don’ts of COTS IP. Plus, they’ll share their experiences designing and implementing COTS-based ST 2110 live production systems with real world examples.

2:00 – 2:05 p.m.: Welcoming Remarks presented by Grass Valley

2:05 – 2:35 p.m.: Keynote Conversation: Beyond the Standards: NMOS and PTP Update
The move to IP introduces some new challenges and the solutions and specifications to address those challenges are constantly evolving. Two of the key tools in the move to IP are NMOS, which handles network discovery, control, and management of all devices and PTP, the network equivalent of a master-sync generator. Understanding both of those concepts and their impact on the network and how it is managed and deployed are of utmost importance. During this session you will get an update on the latest developments.
GHO Group’s Gary Olson, Principal
in conversation with SVG’s Ken Kerschbaumer, Executive Director, Editorial

2:35 – 2:50 p.m.: Sony Case Study: Building Remote and Distributed IP Production Environments
During this session, you will learn how a Division I University leveraged SMPTE ST 2110 to seamlessly move camera heads around to different sports facilities and eliminated the need for complicated SMPTE fiber patching.
Presenter: Deon LeCointe
, Sony Electronics, Senior Business and Technology Manager – Live Production Systems
