In early 2024 a new era in golf and TV production will begin with the launch of TGL Golf, a new mixed reality golf event that will embrace new technologies and allow for golfers to compete indoors in a 135,000 sq. ft facility. TGL Golf will be produced by TMRW Sports, co-founded by Mike McCarley former NBC Sports Executive Mike McCarley and PGA legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. SportsML and Future of Metadata Models
The IPTC’s SportsML serves as an open, standard for the interchange of sports data and is used by major news organizations to cover Olympics, World Cup, and regional championships, as well as domestic and local competitions. This open conversation will explore how sports-media organizations can potentially work together to identify key fields and devise a common nomenclature in order to create an open, universal metadata standard across the industry.

Meanwhile, mid-tier providers such as Wasabi and Seagate are offering flat pricing with no egress fees, and Google responding with new offers such as Autoclass. This conversation will delve into how these changing cloud economics are impacting mediamanagement workflows.

Over the past decade, the M&E industry has seen significant consolidation by both major media companies and technology vendors. Will MAM even be a standalone business in the future or just an application as part of a larger media ecosystem? This bonus conversation will take a hard look at how the recent tidal wave of M&A has impacted the media-management sector.
CLOSING TOPIC | CRYSTAL-BALL PREDICTIONS
Five Years, 10 Years, and 20 Years Ahead
For the second consecutive year, the day will close with an interactive exercise in which each roundtable participant will write three predictions on colored sticky notes — a different color for five years, for 10 years, and for 20 years in the future. These predictions will be assembled on a whiteboard and reviewed by the entire group to provide a glimpse into the future of media-asset management and storage, while getting a few laughs in the process.
